Recently I have been sewing buttons of the same colour into a heart shape to make a motif that I intend to put on a bag. I have done a red one and a purple one and, though time consuming, they look effective. All was going well until....
Picture the scene:there I was crocheting happily, listening to the radio with candles burning when one of my handmade candles decided to drip all the way down the chest of drawers and onto my newly stitched heart button motif....aaargh. Quick jump to the said item followed by desperately peeling off yellow wax in a hurry to remove it a.s.a.p. Luckily I managed to get it all off fine-phew! Lesson learned though: material and candle wax must not be in a five mile radius of each other!!
